LAHORE – A 65-year-old man died of cardiac arrest after someone tried to make him a fool here in Factory area, police sources said on Monday.
Police said that the old man, identified as Mehmood, a resident of Ghosia Colony, underwent heart attack as someone contacted him by phone and disclosed to the man that his son had died in a road mishap. The old man suffered cardiac arrest and was immediately rushed to a local hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Police believed that the caller, unidentified so far, tried to befool the old man to celebrate ‘April Fool.’ The police have removed the body to the morgue for an autopsy and are investigating.
