LAHORE - Jehad for Zero Thalassemia President Ghulam Dastgir has vowed to eradicate the disease from the country by 2016.
While, speaking at an awareness seminar organized by the Jehad for Zero Thalassemia at University of Central Punjab, he said that Thalassemia patients have reached 8 million but the society was determined to overcome the menace by 2016. Ghulam Dastgir said that the purpose of such events was to raise public awareness about the fatal disease and to motivate volunteers to come forward and help humanity.
 Representatives of Fatmeed Foundation, volunteers and students from various educational institutions attended the seminar.
