ISLAMABAD - Andrei G. Ermolovich, Ambassador of Belarus said that his country wants to help Pakistan in industrial technology and sharing expertise, especially in the fields of energy, mining, transport, agriculture and food.

Ambassador of Belarus made these remarks during a meeting with Acting Secretary, Board of Investment Falak Sher Kalas. The Ambassador was accompanied Valentin Rybakov, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

The meeting discussed and explores the investment opportunities available in both countries and emphasises the need to improve the economic ties between the two countries.

The Ambassador said that Belarus is highly developed country in various areas where it can assist Pakistan.

The Secretary, BoI appreciated the ambassador for the good will gesture for Pakistan and invited Belarus investors to invest in Pakistan in different sectors of the economy i.e agriculture, mine, mineral, industrial and energy sectors. He also highlighted that the Government of Pakistan has taken a number of initiatives to attract foreign investment in Pakistan.

 The Acting Secretary, BOI also invited the Belarus delegation for the establishment of Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Karachi. The Belarus delegation appreciated the presentation and useful information given by the Acting Secretary, BOI, and take interest in the available business opportunities in Pakistan specifically in Agriculture and industrial sectors.

The Acting Secretary at the end said that BOI being the apex body of the Government for investment promotion and provide facilitation to foreign investors, welcomed the Belarus businessmen / entrepreneurs to visit Pakistan and informed them that the BOI will facilitate and assure them full support as and when needed.
