RAWALPINDI - Special Judge Central (SJC) Syed Akhlaq Hussain Shah Tuesday directed Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to submit complete chellan in Hajj scam case till August 18, 2011. The court also issued the poster of an accused Ahmed Faiz for not appearing before the court as part of the process to declare him as proclaimed offender (PO) on the next date hearing. During the proceeding, former Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Hamid Saeed Kazmi, Joint Secretary Hajj Aftab Raja and former Director General (DG) Hajj Rao Shakeel Ahmed were also present in the courtroom. The hearing of the case has been postponed by SJC Syed Akhlah Hussain Shah till August 18, 2011. Lahore police produced handcuffed former DG Hajj Rao Shakeel in the court, after ending the trial, the accused was shifted to Adyala Jail amid tight security. Hamid Saeed Kazmi, while talking with media men in District Courts premises, said that he did not table this matter on the floor of National Assembly in respect of court since his arrest but now he would request to Speaker National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza to provide him a chance like MNA Anjum Aqeel Khan to explain his position. He said that the charges levelled against him by Azam Swati and Pakistani Ambassador Umer Khan Ali Sher Zai were not competent that they might be inserted into the chellan adding that he was alleged of demanding the money not for receiving the money. On a query, Hamid Saeed replied that he would tender an application through his lawyer in the court seeking restoration of his bank accounts.
