Our Staff Reporters MULTAN/ BAHAWALPUR/ GUJRANWALA/ FAISALABAD - The Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Multan declared the result of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) 2011 here on Tuesday as the girls succeeded in clinching all the three top overall positions. Mehvish Kalsoom (roll No.708007) of Naukhez Model Girls High School Shah Rukn-e-Alam obtained 1021 marks and was declared overall first. The second position was shared by Ammara Chand (Roll No.707469) of Naukhez School and Farheen Fatima Khan (roll No-703408) of Multan Public School for Girls as both of them secured 1018 marks. The third position was also jointly held by two students of Nishat Girls High School as Muneeba Ramzan (Roll No.706392) and Maida Shehzad (Roll No.706776) got 1015 marks. The result was declared by BISE Multan Controller (Examinations) Prof Muhammad Akbar who told the journalists that a total of 1,10,325 candidates appeared in the examination out of which 67,164 were declared successful with 60.87 success ratio. He added that a total of 59,518 candidates appeared in Science group and 44,661 passed with 75.03percent pass percentage. Similarly, as many as 50807 candidates took examination under general group out of which 22503 passed the examination showing 44.29 percent pass percentage. Science Group (Boys) Muhammad Abbas (Roll No.710756) of Quaid-e-Millat Public boys school Jalalpur pirwala and Muhammad Ahmed Masud Gil (Roll No.707068) of Naukhez Public school New Multan jointly secured the top position by securing 1011 marks while Shoaib Shahid (Roll No.707085) of Laureates Boys School stood second with 1010 marks and Muhammad Waqas (Roll No. 114423) of Government High School Mailsi remained third with 1008 marks. Science Group (Girls): All the overall top position holders stood first, second and third in this group accordingly. General Group (Boys): Hafiz Muhammad Zubair (Roll No.107068) of Jamia Science Secondary School Multan stood first with 922 marks, Rao Roman Ali (Roll No.503883) of Zameer Public school Multan second with 916 and Hafiz Muhammad Muazzam (Roll No.105417) of Government Islamia High School Daulat Gate third with 914 marks. General Group (Girls): Aqdas Imam Shah (roll No.103160) of Zikiriya High School for Girls grabbed first position with 980 marks, Romaila Anwar (Roll No.103085) of Nishat Higher Secondary School for girls second with 970 and Saba Zahoor (Roll No.115910) of Punjab Public Science Girls High School Khanewal third with 968 marks. Meanwhile, the National Talent Scholarship was awarded to 67 students for showing outstanding performance in the examination. The scholarship will be paid at the rate of Rs500 Per month in case of resident scholar and Rs300 PM in case of non-resident scholar. Besides they would be paid Rs1,000 for purchase of book and other educational equipments. Later on, Punjab Minister for labour and Auqaf Haji Ehsan Uddin Qureshi distributed prizes and medals among the toppers. GUJRANWALA:Lubaba Mukhtar of Convent of Jesus & Marry Girls High School Sialkot topped Gujranwala Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education in its Secondary School Annual Examination 2011 by obtaining 1015 marks. Two students Waqar Ahmad Bhatti and Nabila Younas jointly secured 2nd position by taking 1013 marks while third position was captured jointly by three students Hassan Bin Aziz, Rabia Munir Ahmad and Aqsa Muhammad Ali Khan by securing 1012 marks. According to BISE Controller Examinations, Science Group Boys were topped by Waqar Ahmad Bhatti of Govt High School Tharu, Mandi Bahauddin who obtained 1013 marks. Second and third positions in this group were captured by students of Quaid-e-Azam Divisional Public School Gujranwala. Hassan Bin Aziz and Muhammad Haris Khurshid remained second and third by taking 1012 and 1010 marks respectively. In Science Group, Girls, Lubaba Mukhtar topped the group by taking 1015marks and followed by Nabila Younas of Best School System Gujranwala who obtained 1013 marks. Third position was shared by Rabia Munir Ahmad of Federal Science College Wapda Town and Aqsa Muhammad Ali Khan of Azam Public Girls High School Qila Dedar Singh who jointly took 1012 marks. General Group Boys was led by a private student of Gujranwala city Muhammad Tahir who secured 949 marks while second position was captured by Muhammad Usman of Govt. High School No-2 Kamoke who took 934 marks. Hafiz Kamran Bashir of Jadeed Dastgir School Gujranwala remained third by taking 927 marks. General Group Girls was also topped by a private student, Amina Sitar, of a remote village Pindi Mannan of Shakar Garh who obtained 989 marks. Second and Third positions went to Haider Memorial Secondary School Saroki, Wazirabad and its students Afshan Batool and Takrim Manzoor took 980 and 968 marks respectively for second and third positions. Abdul Ghafoor has said that revolutionary steps of Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif had become history in the field of education and politics of lip-services would serve no more in the country. He was addressing annual prize distribution ceremony of Secondary School position holders at BISE campus. He presented medals and cash prizes to the distinctive position holders. BAHAWALPUR: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Bahawalpur, has declared the result of the SSC Annual Examination-2011 here and the pass percentage remained 55.22pc. As many as 64,158 candidates appeared in the examination while 35,425 have been declared pass. Maryam Zafar daughter of Zafar Hussain, Roll No 703043 of Chishtian Science Girls School, Chistian topped the board and bagged 1018 marks while Shabih Zahra d/o Syed Asad Raza, Roll No 709532 of Govt.Comprehensive Girls High School remained 2nd in the board and obtained 1016 marks. Rimsha Sadia Bokhari d/o Shamas-ul-Haq Bokhari, Roll No.703082 of the Chistian Science Girls School, Chistian got 3rd position in the board and secured 1014 marks. The top three candidates also topped the Science Group of Girls while Usama Ali s/o Muhammad Naeem, Roll No.718474 of Rahim Yar Khan got 1st position in the Science Group of Boys and bagged 1010 while Muhammad Hammad Nisar s/o Nisar Ahmed, Roll No.710962 of Hasilpur got 2nd position in the Science Group of Boys and took 1007 and Faizan-ul-Islam s/o Zafar-us-Salam, Roll No 710938 of Hasilpur remained 3rd in this group and earned 1001 marks. Likewise, Asma Abbas d/o Ghulam Abbas , Roll No 101846 of Govt.Girls High School, Chistian, topped the Humanities Group for Girls and bagged 920 marks while Ramzana d/o Faqir Muhammad, Roll No 101795 of Chistian and Ifra Sattar d/o Abdul Sattar Arif, Roll No 110867of Sadiqabad jointly got 2nd position in the Humanities Group with 916 marks each. However, Aroosa Irshad d/o Irshad Ahmed, Roll No. 108276 of Khanpur and Humaira Kiran d/o Talib Hussain, Roll No.101718 of Chistian shared 3rd position in the group and both got 906 marks each. In the Humanities Group of Boys, Muhammad Umair s/o, Abdul Rauf, Roll No 102965 and Muhammad Awais s/o, Muhammad Saleem Asim, Roll No 511413 shared first position while Adil Ashraf s/o Muhammad Ashraf, Roll No 107947 of Bagh-o-Bahar, Khanpur, got 2nd position and bagged 851 marks and Muhammad Ramazan s/o Abdul Majeed, Roll No.107798 of Head Rajkaan remained 3rd and took 841 marks. Provincial Minister for Prisons Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar congratulated the successful candidates and said that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had been taking keen interest in the improvement of education. Later, he distributed medals and prizes among the position holders. FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) the results of matriculation annual examinations 2011 here on Tuesday. According to the BISEFSD Controller, the passing percentage this year was 51.79. As per detail, a function was also held to announce the position holders and give away prizes to them. However, it has been learnt that Provincial Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah Khan, who was the Chief Guest, could not attend the function. As per announcement, Anum Khaliq and Omer Javaid shared first position by securing 1019 marks. Abeeha Rai stood second with 1016 marks and Ghanza Farooq got third position securing 1015 marks in the board. In Science Group, among boys, Omer Javaid stood first with 1019 marks, Isma Hassan and Muhammad Hatib shared second place after securing 1013 marks and Abdul Rehman took third position in the group with 1011 marks. In Science Group, among girls, Anum Khaliq bagged first position after scoring 1019 marks, Abeeha Rai stood second with 1016 marks and Ghanza Farooq secured third position with 1015 marks. In General Group, among boys, Muhammad Azeem stood first by scoring 890 marks, Yasir Butt took second position with 887 marks and Muhammad Tahir stood third with 885 marks. In General Group, among girls, Sania Javaid got first position with 979 marks, Fajar Javaid stood second with 967 marks and Nimra Nazir secured third position with 960 marks.
