ISLAMABAD - Cabinet Division has issued a notification appointing Chaudhry Sarwar as the new Punjab Governor. The notification has been issued after President Asif Ali Zardari approved the summary of appointing Chaudhry Sarwar as the Governor Punjab.
Chaudhry Sarwar had been elected thrice as the member of the British Parliament from Glasgow city while in the recent elections in United Kingdom, his son Anas Sarwar won from this seat. Chaudhry Sarwar renounced his British citizenship recently and arrived in Pakistan.
Mr Sarwar said if he finds himself unable to deliver, then he will resign from the post.
