MAKKAH - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here on Friday performed Umrah and prayed for solidarity, progress and prosperity of the people of Pakistan. He also prayed Allah Almighty for his guidance and His benevolence to do his best for the bright future of the people and the country.

The PM is on a private visit to Saudi Arabia and arrived in Jeddah on Thursday night. He was received at Royal Terminal by Governor Makkah region Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, senior functionaries of Royal protocol, Governorate, Saudi Foreign Office and government functionaries. Saudi Ambassador in Pakistan Abdul Aziz Al-Ghadeer was also present. Pakistan Ambassador in Saudi Arabia Mohammed Naeem Khan, Consul General Aftab Khokhar and officers from Consulate were also present.

Nawaz would also visit Madinah to offer Nawafils and salam at Roza-e-Rasool (Peace Be Upon Him).
