DASKA - An ‘invading’ Indian tiger created panic and harassment among locals as it injured severely several cattle heads besides two persons in village Kot Maana-Motra here on Saturday.
According to locals, a tiger invaded local fields early Saturday morning and injured several cattle head grazing in the fields. The ‘invader’ also injured two locals - Khalid and Iqbal Hussain. The Indian tiger sparked panic among locals and announcements were made on loudspeakers from mosques.
On information, a contingent of police surrounded the areas to save people from the tiger .
Police officials said that it was an Indian tiger which crossed into bordering village near Sialkot Working Boundary.
Locals, police and a team of Wildlife Department launched a day-long operation to catch the tiger and finally they managed to capture the ‘intruder’ after getting him unconscious.
The Wildlife Department officials took the tiger into custody and shifted it to Lahore Zoo.
