Azealia Banks quits Facebook

LOS ANGELES:- Azealia Banks is threatening to quit social media in an attempt to avoid having her “legacy” living and dying online. The controversial rapper burst onto the music scene in 2012 with her hit summer anthem 212. While the song fared well, especially in Europe, Azealia ran into trouble with her debut album after experiencing numerous delays. She’s since become known for her online rants and arguments with other stars, but has vowed to step away from social media from now on, although has not yet taken down her page. “I’m seriously tired of peoples feelings (sic).

I’m tired of seeing their overly sensitive reactions and responses to everything. I’m tired of having everything I say or do be monitored and I’m tired of being told how I should be behaving,” she told her Facebook followers. “I’m quitting Facebook, and any other form of social media that allows me to engage with people. My legacy can’t live and die on the Internet. Goodbye. For good.” The message wasn’t shared on Twitter as the 25-year-old hasn’t been seen on the micro blogging site since having her account suspended after she tweeted racist and homophobic remarks to Zayn Malik. In May, she fell out with the former One Direction star after he supposedly aimed the message “My @s too good for you” at her. “All those white boys in 1D disrespected you and made you their PET. You were only apart of 1D to draw brown attention. You are and ALWAYS will be a TOKEN to the UK (sic),” Azealia fumed back, along with a series of other posts. Azealia’s Facebook threat comes just weeks after she declared she’d also be giving up rap music and dropping her last name in a bid to move away from her controversial past.
