HAFIZABAD-The elimination of terrorism, energy crisis and provision of civic amenities for the masses were the priorities of the government, claimed State Minister for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Saira Afzal Tarar.

Talking to the media at Hafizabad, she said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor would change the fate of the nation and it is not an only a road, most of the projects of generating electricity are included in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

She said that opposition was creating hurdles in completing development projects being lunched to ensure provision of different facilities to the masses. She advised the opposition to support the project instead of giving sit-ins.

Addressing a meeting of Gujranwala Electricity Supply Company officers held at Circuit House, she directed them to address the people’s complaints including less voltages in different areas and unscheduled loadshedding immediately with the consultation of newly elected local bodies representatives. She also directed them to take measures to chang transforms and replace old polls and wires to ensure provision of interrupted electricity supply to the people.

Tarar said that electricity pilferers were not well-wishers of Pakistan at all and directed the Gepco officers to launch crackdown on electricity pilferers and she or any other elected representatives would not favor to any electricity pilferer at all.

Distributing appointment letters to the newly-recruited teachers, she said the government is fully aware of the need to equip the youth with quality education as it is not only necessary for the progress and prosperity of the nation but also key to brighten their career.

State Minister for National Health Services Saira Afzal Tarar stated, “Safarish Culture has been eliminated and the newly-recruited teachers have been appointed purely on merit.” She added that the government would soon recruit around 45,000 more teachers to fulfil the shortage of educators in the province. She pointed out that teaching is a noble profession and advised the newly-recruited educators to put their efforts to impart quality education to the students that enable them to brighten their career.

On the occasion, Provincial Parliamentary Secretary Ch Asadullah Arain and MPA Malik Fayyaz Ahmad also distributed appointment letters to the educators.
