ISLAMABAD: A woman disrupted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) press conference which was being addressed by chairman Imran Khan here on Wednesday.
The lady, who said she was an assistant sub-divisional education officer, began crying soon after getting in front of the cameras.
“Imran Khan, listen to me. I have two daughters and police have lodged an FIR against my children,” the woman said while crying.
On this, the party chairman left the conference unfinished in haste.
Azra Afridi alleged she was forcefully transferred from her post after she started work in the then non-functional schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).
“Yasmin Aziz, who now holds the management post of education in Haripur, has support of PTI officials,” she alleged.
“Yasmin is involved in corruption of millions of rupees and they all are involved in this. These all are thieves, they are all together in all this,” she yelled while speaking to the media.
Earlier, the PTI chairman announced he will start Tehreek-e-Ehtisab (movement for accountability) from 7th August in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
“We are preparing our people to raise voice against corruption. We are in essence strengthening democracy here,” he said.
Imran said he was considering to reach the Supreme Court of Pakistan against corruption and indifference of government over Panama leaks.
The PTI chairman also criticised National Accountability Bureau, saying corruption had instead increased after the establishment of NAB in 15 years.
