LAHORE - CIA police on Thursday claimed to have smashed four gangs of robbers by arresting their 14 members who were wanted to the police in several cases of armed robberies. Lahore’s SP CIA Abdul Raheem Shirazi told reporters that they also seized cash, mobile phones, motorcycles, and other valuables worth six million rupees from their possession. The police teams also recovered firearms from the arrested suspects.
According to Shirazi, the arrests were made during a special crackdown launched on the criminals involved in street crimes in Lahore. The police have also traced several robbery cases registered in different police stations of Lahore against the arrested bandits. Further investigation was underway.
