GUJRAT - Defence Minister Ch Ahmad Mukhtar Thursday termed the disclosures by WikiLeaks an attempt to demoralise Pakistans professionally proficient armed forces. Talking to the newsmen in Gujrat, Mukhtar said though he was fully aware of those who were behind the WikiLeaks revelations planted against Pakistan but he could not expose them publicly. When asked about the economic situation, he said there was no option except ensuring approval of the RGST Bill from the National Assembly. The government has no choice but to get passed the RGST Bill because the IMF demands can only be met through this legislation. On a query regarding close contacts between the PML-Q and the PPP, he said, The media will come to know how much votes the Q-League will have over the approval of the RGST Bill in the National Assembly. About the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the minister said the PIA had suffered a loss of Rs 11 billion in the first 10 months of the current financial year, adding the old airplanes were affecting the airlines efficiency. I have intimated the President about the PIA deficit and would constitute a committee to buy new planes and to make the purchasing exercise clean and transparent, said Mukhtar.
