LAHORE A constitutional petition has been moved in the Lahore High Court to seek a ban on the publication and broadcast of the WikiLeaks cables on the classified US States Department reports on Pakistan. The petition has been filed by one Arif Gondal inter alia contending that reports relating to Pakistan aim at disgracing Pakistan at the international level and to harm its relations with the Muslims countries especially Suadi Arabia as well as to malign the Pakistan Army. The petitioner smells a conspiracy being hatched against Pakistan through that leaked reports, with an aim to bring down its reputation and projecting it as a dependent and weak State.
