LAHORE - Lahore and Multan registered wins in the National Women Under-19 Twenty20 Cricket Championship played here at Lahore Country Club, Muridke. In the first match of the championship, Lahore Women Under-19 team outplayed Rawalpindi by 85 runs. Batting first, Lahore posted a huge target of 139 for two in 20 overs. Nimra Imran was the top scorer with unbeaten 53 runs with the help of six boundaries. Faryal Awan also played an impressive innings with unbeaten 34 runs while Bismah Maroof made 28. Rimal Khah got only one wicket for 17 runs. In reply, Rawalpindi Women Under-19 team could manage to score only 54 runs losing their seven wickets in 20 overs. Only Sadia Khalid and Khaliqa Bano reached the double figures with 15 and 13 runs respectively. Hina Azam was the best bowler for Lahore team who grabbed five wickets for 11 runs. In another match of the championship, Multan Women Under-19 team outclassed Islamabad by 77 runs. Batting first, Multan scored 138 runs for five wickets in 20 overs. Najma Zafar (38) and Seema Javed (23*) were the main batswomen for Multan team. Sana Khan took two wickets for 31. In reply, Islamabad were unable to achieve the target and were bowled at a low total of 54 runs in 16 overs. Only Fizza Abid reached the double figures with 19 runs. Sana Gulzar clinched for wickets for four and Sabina Akbar two for 30.
