MAILSI - The Pakistan Peoples Party will get the credit for Saraiki province, comprising 19 districts of south Punjab and two of Khyber Pakh-tunkhwa. PPP District Vehari leader Mian Riaz Ahmad Sandhal made the claim while speaking at a seminar organised to laud the performance Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Giliani. Mr Sandhal said that reconciliatory policy adopted by the prime minister and unprecedented development projects launched by him had brought about political harmony in the country. He added that the country was once again on the track of democracy. The restoration of democracy is the result of the struggle of the PPP leaders and workers as our leader Shaheed Mohtrama Benazir Bhutto sacrificed her life for the cause, he claimed. He said that farmers were getting better prices of their agricultural produces as a result of agriculture friendly policies of the government. Speaking on the occasion, Wilayat Hussain Khan Dahar said that the present government would complete its five years term and the PPP would make a clean sweep in the next general elections on the grounds of its best performances and services to the people. Mr Dahar added that maintenance of law and order, massive reduction in the power load-shedding and political freedom were the glowing examples of PPPs good governance.
