OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Dozens of policemen at Camp Jail on Friday staged a strong protest demonstration against the top administration after they deducted Rs 1100 from salary of the each policeman. According to the police official, the jail management deducted Rs 1100 from their salaries to provide them new uniforms. They said that the jail authorities had ordered them to get new uniforms for the jail inspection to be held on December 23. Some high-ranking officers of the Punjab government are expected to visit the jail for annual inspection. However, a jail official confirmed that Rs 1100 had been deducted from the salary of each policeman and they would be given new uniforms.
