KARACHI – Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed on Sunday directed the departments concerned to complete the development works beneath Banaras Flyover and on adjacent roads with the shifting of water & sewerage lines at the earliest and also finish the construction of Shara-e-Noorjehan and Sharah-e-Chishti without more delay. He issued these directives during his visit to Banaras Flyover, Sharah-e-Noorjehan and Shahra-e-Chishti along with the Director General Technical Services Altaf G. Memon, Director Transport & Communication M Ather and other officials.The administrator said that though the opening of Banaras Flyover for vehicular traffic had provided considerable convenience to the people, its complete benefits would be available only after the completion of construction and repairing works beneath the bridge and on adjoining roads. He said in order to upgrade and correct all the infrastructure of this area the construction of adjacent roads and shifting of water and sewerage lines had been included in the whole project, therefore all these works must be completed soon.He further instructed the concerned officers to complete the remaining construction works of these projects without delay so that the people traveling in this area could get the convenience in their daily life.He said KMC was utilizing all of its resources for the development and progress of the city. Hence any negligence or carelessness in the development works will not be tolerated. This must be made ensure to complete the works in time with good quality and standard.
