Recently, National Highway Authority (NHA) has done a commendable job of installing speed breakers at a well known, bloody U-Turn on Jhelum Road, Rawalpindi Cantt near Golf Road, to help stop or minimize frequent minor and major accidents. Metal bumps and ‘Cats Eyes’ used as speed breakers are being broken by heavy traffic and some vehicles are not slowing down even now. NHA may please consider long lasting brick or concrete speed breakers raised and flat at centre with both ends sloping similar to ones in Bahria Town and DHA-I. Vehicles will have to slow down but pass without damage to their tires and back jarring bumps.
