LAHORE - Senior PPP leader and opposition leader in the National Assembly, Khursheed Shah, yesterday claimed they would eradicate corruption from the country within 90 days after coming to power.

Speaking to media persons in Lahore, Shah said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif received a lot of help due to wrong decisions and inexperienced politics of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan.

He said: “Our foreign policy is quite confused and international community is surprised to see us without any regular foreign minister.” He further said leaders in the current PML-N government were undemocratic and had been enjoying ties with banned outfits from day one of their regime.

He averred PPP believed in parliamentary struggle and always did politics inside the parliament. He claimed the Qatari prince who had written a letter in favour of the government had business in Pakistan and was a partner with the rulers.

Khursheed Shah said he was not sure if the prime minister would be able to survive the Panama papers case or not. He added it was unfortunate that the prime minister was in need of a prince’s letter to clarify his position. He questioned whether after the prince’s letter a pot of gold would also appear.

PPP Central Punjab President Qamar Zaman Kaira asserted former president Asif Ali Zardari’s return at this time of the year was his party’s unanimous decision.

Commenting on the Panamagate scandal, Kaira said the Qatari prince had partnership with Saif-ur-Rehman.

Speaking on this occasion, PPP’s Nisar Khuhro said his party wanted a much-needed population consensus at the earliest in the country. The entire PPP leadership also hoped that under the young leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, their party would be able to resolve pressing issues of the nation.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reached Lahore from Dubai on Wednesday in a bid to attend 49th foundation day of PPP.
