KARACHI: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that, “The government will provide every possible assistance to revive film industry in the country.”

She was addressing the inaugural ceremony of a two-day National Production and Entertainment Trade Conference in Karachi today.

She announced to revive Pakistan Television and Radio Pakistan and sought suggestions from experienced showbiz personalities in this regard.

She stressed upon artists to come forward and play their role in promoting and projecting a soft image of Pakistan through their productions.

Maryam Aurangzeb said Information Ministry will play the role of a bridge between the government and entertainment industry.

She said soon the national artists’ convention will be convened in Islamabad and artists fund will be established to facilitate producers and artists.

Our Karachi correspondent Altaf Pirzado reports that there will be 18 sessions of the conference which are being attended and addressed by known personalities of electronic, print and digital media.
