LAHORE:– The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) arrested a passenger with three-kg heroin, said sources in aviation department said yesterday. They said that accused Hamayun Shehzad, a resident of Bahawalpur, was going to Colombo. The heroin was found from his luggage. After registration of a case, the ANF shifted the accused to headquarters for further action.

Drug labs sealed

Two laboratories have been sealed in Kasoor for producing medicines without license, said an official hand out.  Cases have been filed against the owner and production in-charge. Drug Control Team made a surprise visit to Shareena Laboratory in Kasoor and found that it was being operated without a medicine license.

The concerned drug inspector Rameez Khan took an immediate action and sealed the laboratory while confiscating the machinery and medicine stock.

The confiscated medicines were sent for examination in laboratory and cases were filed against the production in-chargeTauseefTanveer and the ownerIlyaas Bhatti. Beside that Yunani Laboratory on Changa Manga Road in Chunia was also producing medicines without license. While inspecting the laboratory, it was revealed that the production unit was poor quality and substandard.

The Drug Control Team sealed the Yunani Laboratory production unit and confiscated all the machinery and medicine stock.

Case has been filed against the production in-charge Muhammad Iqbal and the owner Muhammad Siddiq, and legal action was taken. It has been stated that machinery and medicines worth Rs.50,000 hwner.
