An explosion ripped through a Sunni Muslim mosque in D.I. Khan on Tuesday, killing one person and wounding 18 others, police said. Worshippers were offering Maghrib prayers when a grenade was hurled into the mosque, causing a stampede as panicked people desperately tried to flee, local police officer Yaseen Khan told a foreign news agency. "One man died and 18 others were wounded in the attack," Khan said, adding that police had cordoned off the area. Doctors at the main hospital said most of the wounded were not critical.
