'India agrees to resume peace talks'

ISLAMABAD - India has agreed to resume stalled peace talks with Pakistan, diplomatic sources informed TheNation on Tuesday. A major breakthrough is expected in the days to come as India has signalled to come on the table to resume dialogue, sources disclosed. However, this correspondence could not get official version in this regards, as FM Qureshi and the spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abdul Basit were abroad and thus could not be contacted till filing of this report. The peace process between the two neighbours was stalled following the Mumbai attack in November 26, 2008. Since then, Pakistan has been asking India to resume dialogue to solve the disputes.
