Ten persons including two girls were killed and 14 others including six children were injured in different incidents of honour killing, enmity and road mishaps over the past 24 hours.

According to details, in Sargodha at least four persons including a young doctor were killed in different parts of the city and suburban areas here on Sunday. 

As per details, a young doctor namely Umer Bucha, working in DHQ Hospital was hit by a motorcyclist while doing wheelies on University Road. He sustained critical wounds and was shifted to Allied Hospital but he could not survive. In another incident a youth identified as Salahuddin committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train in the remit of Factory Area Police. Similarly in village 155/NB, a girl namely 18-year-old Gulnaz was gunned by her cousins in the name of honour. In another incident a recklessly driven truck crushed a motorcyclist namely Ghulam Murtaza of Lalian City near at Sargodha bypass.

Similarly in Toba Tek Singh, a poultry farm employee was murdered by unidentified accused the other night.

Manzoor Ahmad, a resident of Chak 673/14 GB told the police that his son Mubashir had worked at a poultry farm owned by Gul Amir in Chak 665/6 GB where unidentified persons attacked him when he was asleep and killed him with sharp knives. The Pirmahal Police have registered a case against unidentified accused.

Meanwhile, four children, five to eight years of age, got gunshot wounds in jubilation fire during a wedding procession in Chak 323/JB Qiampur on Sunday. The Pirmahal-based wedding procession reached the house of Irshad when one of the participants namely Rang Ali started firing in jubilation. In the meanwhile, four children including Ali Ahmad, Ali Raza, Bushra and Asad sustained bullets injuries and were rushed to DHQ Hospital. The police have registered a case against the accused who made good his escape from the scene.

In another incident six persons were injured seriously when a van hit a rickshaw in Pirmahal near Kohal Kalan on Rajana Road. The injured were shifted to Pirmahal THQ Hospital from where doctors referred to Toba DHQ Hospital.

Meanwhile, two motorcyclists died when their fell into a deep ravine on Attock-Jand Road here the other night. As per details, 22-year-old Nadeem along with his elderly relative Haq Nawaz was coming back to Attock from his native town Makhad. When he was negotiating a turn in Kalla Chiotta hills, almost 21-km away from here, the motorcycle fell into a deep ravine. Resultantly both of them died on the spot. The dead bodies were recovered after an hours long search as there was a dense forest.

In Hujra Shah Muqeem, armed assailants gunned down a girl student over old enmity here on Sunday. The police said that Ghulam Murtaza, a resident of village Bongi Pohelo went to Chunian to see his relative along with his 11-year old daughter Sania.

On return, four accused from rival group opened fire on them near 2D graveyard, killing Sania instantly while Murtaza remained unhurt. The girl is said to be a class 6th student.

The police shifted the body to hospital and registering a case against the accused.

Meanwhile, in Hafizabad, a young biker, a resident of Khanpura Hafizabad was killed on the spot while his friend sustained seriously injuries when he rammed his bike into a rescue 1122 vehicle from the rear near Van Stand on Gujranwala Road.

According to police source, Zeeshan Masih and his friend were proceeding on Gujranwala Road on a bike and when reached near wagon stand his bike hit a rescue 1122 vehicle as a result of which he died on the spot while his injured friend was removed to hospital.

In Mandi Bahauddin, 55-year-old Khurshid Ahmed, a resident of Pahrianwali, had returned from Saudi Arabia where he worked. He had come to his native village on leave to arrange marriage of his daughter. He left his house for some job in the morning the other day. As he came out of the house six persons awaiting in a car started indiscriminate firing on him. As a result Khurshid died on the spot. The Pahrianwali Police a registered case against the accused.
