ISLAMABAD - Patron Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas, who is also the vice president and Board of Directors member of Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) , inaugurated the First ATF/PTF Junior U-16 tennis training camp at Senator Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex Sunday. The PTF with the courtesy and support of ATF is holding the first-ever 16-under tennis training camp from 2nd February to 11th, which would be followed by the tournament. Following top 15 boys and girls players are selected for this prestigious camp: M Mudassar, M Muzammil, Zaid Mujahid, Abdal Haider, Syed Nofil Kaleem, Aman Attique, Barkatullah Khan, Saqib Omer, Mir Shahzaib Khan, Hafiz Arbab Ali, M Wamiq, Ilham Khan, Hamid Khan, Alina Aftab and Mahin Aftab. The federation has nominated Mushaf Zia, former Davis Cup player and coach of Pakistan Davis Cup team, as head coach while Jaleel Khan, Khalid Mehmood Khan, Moin Khan and Rashid Ali will assist him as part of the training camp. While speaking at the occasion Senator Dilawar Abbas said: “We are very fortunate to have this junior training camp organised by the Asian Tennis Federation. The camp will improve fitness, techniques of junior players and great opportunity for Junior Davis Cup team to get their rhythm going as they have to leave for Malaysia in next few weeks.” Member of the Junior Davis Cup team Mudassar, Muzammil, Zahid and Nofil are also included in the camp. President PTF Syed Kaleem Imam ensured the full boarding lodging facility to the all outstation players and announced to support talented tennis players for future. –Staff Reporter
