LAHORE: The command and control room of Lahore Police was inaugurated today to check terror incidents and crimes in the provincial metropolis.

Security officials will use electronic technology to monitor police patrolling and Police Response Unit (PRU) force vehicles with the help of trackers. Schools, banks and business centers will be monitored closely whereas beat officers deployed on patrolling will also be supervised through mobile phones.

Speaking on the occasion, Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Amin Wains said that information technology would help significantly in the fight against terrorism and crime.

He also said a monthly record would also be prepared with the assistance of control room on the basis of which the performance of the officials would be monitored in an effective way.
