Former AJK prime minister Sardar Attique Ahmed asked the Pakistan government not to declared Gilgit-Baltistan as the fifth province of Pakistan, saying that the proposed move would weaken the Kashmir Cause at the international level.
He was talking to the different delegations at the office of Pakistan Council for Social Welfare and Human Rights (PCSWHR) during the last day of his two-day visit to Sialkot.
PCSWHR Chairman Ejaz Noori was also present on this occasion.
Sardar Attique Ahmed also stressed a need for promoting true and strong democracy in both Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Pakistan. He said that the strong democracy could help take up the Kashmir Dispute at the international forums effectively.
He also urged the UN to ensure early implementation of its resolutions for the peaceful solution to the Kashmir dispute as per the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. Khan said that the sacrifices of hundreds of thousands of Kashmiri people would soon become fruitful in the shape of freedom of Kashmir from Indian yoke. He said the Kashmir Issue has reached near its peaceful amicable solution as per the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He said that the sun of freedom of Kashmir will rise soon.
He narrated that the freedom is the basic right of the people of Kashmir and nobody could deny the fact. He urged the world community to use its complete influence to globally pressure India for halting the larger-scale human rights violations, custodial killings and genocide of the oppressed Kashmiri people.
He expressed complete solidarity with the innocent and oppressed people of Occupied Jammu & Kashmir, and said that early solution to Kashmir dispute has now become vital for ensuring sustainable peace in Subcontinent.
NO PARK: There was no recreational park in Daska since the partition of Subcontinent due to which more than 1 million population have been deprived of recreational facility.
People expressed grave concerns over the less interest of the elected representatives in establishing a park in Daska. They said that a period of 69 years has passed but the local elected representatives are unable to establish a park for providing the recreational facilities for the local people. Despite the repeated requests made by the local social, religious and political circles of Daska, the Daska Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) and local elected representatives administration still remain unable to find out a suitable land for the purpose. As Dask lacks the facility, the people have to go to the other cities for recreation. When contacted, MPA Asif Bajwa said that the project of a park at Daska was already in the pipeline.
