LAHORE - The sacrifices rendered by the people of Kashmir to achieve right to self-determination will never go in vain.

India has been engaging 0.7 million of its army to suppress the voice of Kashmiris and committing worst kind of human rights violation in the held state but the superpowers are silent over her atrocities. Peace in region cannot be restored until the liberation of the innocent Kashmirs from Indian jaws.

These views were expressed by the speakers at the forum jointly organised by The Nation, Nawa-e-Waqt and Waqt TV yesterday. The sitting held in connection of Kashmir Solidarity Day which would be marked across the country on February 5.

Jamaat-e-Islami secretary general Liaqat Baloch, PTI leader Ijaz Chaudhary, PML-N MPA Rana Arshad, PPP leader Naveed Chaudhary and Kashmiri leader Sadiq Jarral were the speakers. Senior journalist Saifullah Sipra conducted the proceedings.

The leaders vowed to continue supporting the people of Kashmir. They said people of Pakistan were standing with their brothers in their struggle for getting freedom from illegal occupation of India.

They said Quaid-e-Azam had declared Kashmir as jugular vein of Pakistan and it was obligation of every government to continue support of oppressed people in the light of the vision of founder of Pakistan.

They said the people would never accept any kind of dialogue with India without putting Kashmir on top agenda. They also appreciated the role of Nawa-e-Waqt and its late editor-in-chief Dr Majid Nizami for supporting the cause of Kashmir.

Leaders said their parties would fully mark the Kashmir Solidarity Day across the country to covey message to entire world about the brutalities being committed by Indian army against innocent people struggling for freedom.
