11 security officials were martyred during a suicide attack on Army unit sports area at Kabal, Swat on Saturday.

According to ISPR statement, thirteen security officials were also injured in the attack.

The suicide attack took place in Shareefabad area of Swat.

According to the DPO Swat, a large number of security personals have secured the area and initial investigations are underway.

Rescue teams reached the area and injured people have been shifted to the hospital in Sindhu Sharif, he further added.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also condemned the attack and has prayed for blessing of the departed souls and quick recovery of the injured in Swat suicide attack

"Such cowardly attacks cannot bring down the morale of our soldiers and we will continue our efforts to eradicate terrorism in Pakistan", he added.
