CHITRAL-A man and his son working for the PTCL were killed after an avalanche buried them near Lowari top on Chitral side here on Friday.
Police informed that Noor Uddin and his son Ubaidullah, residents of Naghra in Drosh, were working as watchmen at PTCL tower, installed on Lowari top.
They were hit by an avalanche near the top of the snow-bound pass when they were going to work on Thursday.
Another man accompanying them survived the incident escaped unhurt. Rescue teams reached the stop and have started rescue operation.
However, they had to stop rescue operation after falling night. The search for the dead bodies will be resumed on Saturday (today).
