KARACHI - Some of the passionate people in business have decided to launch a platform of All Pakistan Entrepreneurs' Exchange (APEX) for development and growth of entrepreneurship in Pakistan. This would require a gigantic task to motivate corporations, public policy makers, academia and public at large to help cultivate entrepreneurial mindset in professionals, corporate leaders and youths, so that we can help companies of all sizes grow exponentially and our business students stand up on their feet with dignity and in the process contribute to our national economy. There is lack of training facilities, course material and awareness of this highly important discipline in business universities where our 70% national economy depends on informal sector which had no formal training whatsoever. Even established businesses and corporations lack necessary infrastructure to promote entrepreneurial thinking and innovative leadership, which can help them, grow to next level. The launching ceremony was addressed by Arif Elahi, DG, Board of Investment, Government of Pakistan, Anjum Nisar, President, KCCI, Yaqoob Sattar, Executive Director, PSO, along with the host Syed Hamza Matin, Convenor and Co-Founder, APEX. The elite of the corporate sector, MNCs, Members of Chambers and Industry, at a local hotel witnessed it. Speaking at the Launch Ceremony Arif Elahi, Anjum Nisar and Yaqoob Sattar assured theirs fullest cooperation to APEX. The Speakers offered infrastructure, sharing of information and other possible support to APEX in its future endeavours. One of the initiatives under APEX is the launch of Young Entrepreneurs Syndicate (YES), which would provide platform to young entrepreneurs, students and academic institutions to interact for the development & nurturing of young souls in the field of setting up their businesses and train them to be able to face odds in the practical fields.
