ISLAMABAD - Tehreek Tahfuz-e-Pakistan President Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan on Wednesday chaired an important meeting of 14 political parties who unanimously distanced themselves from long march announced by Dr Tahirul Qadri on Jan 14th.The meeting which took stock of the political situation in the country decided to announce their election agenda and modalities of election alliance on January 20. The meeting also discussed law and order situation in country, terrorism, power outages, unemployment and resolved to form a political alliance.The meeting decided that proposal of forming alliance would be discussed by the participants parties and would take a decision in this regard.Later, TTP Secretary General Dr. Rafiq Ahmed Ghuncha told media men that prominent political parties which participated in the meeting included Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), JUI-F, Tanzeem al Ikhwan, Jamaat Ahle Hadees, JUI-S and Alhe Sunnat Tehreek.He said that the meeting noted with concern that situation in the country was not conducive for any adventure and warned the rulers to desist from any step that could further harm the country.He said that meeting regarded Dr Qadri’s long march as part of an international conspiracy against Pakistan.
