Muslims urged to follow Islamic teachings

RAWALPINDI – The Muslims can overcome their worldly problems and make themselves eligible for forgiveness on the Day of Judgment only by following the teachings of Quran and Sunnah in true letter and spirit and by enlightening their hearts and minds with the affection with the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).
Pir Muhammad Naqib-ur-Rehman, custodian of Eidgah shrine, stated this while delivering his presidential address at a large congregation here on Wednesday in connection with the 51st death anniversary of Sheikh Al-Muhaddiseen Al-Mufsireen Alhaj Al-Hafiz Pir Abdur Rehman Sani (RA).
Federal Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan also attended the congregation. “Only Islamic teachings can help Muslims end their miseries. The world is craving for peace and tranquility today and this can be found only through remembrance of Almighty Allah and Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH),” he said. “This is the reason that Pir Abdur Rehman Sani (RA) has been stressing upon him his devotees to make the remembrance of Almighty Allah and the Holy Prophet (PBUH) their habit,” he added.
The custodian of Eidgah shrine said that the abodes of Sufi saints are hubs of peace as well as source of guidance for the strayed people. He said it were the Sufi saints who brought the strayed humans of the Subcontinent into the fold of Islam and put them on the right path. He said the teachings and advice of the Sufi saints is a beacon for all the people.
Pir Muhammad Hassan Hasib-ur-Rehman hosted the anniversary congregation and also recited a Naat while Tasleem Sabri conducted the proceedings of the gathering.
Various religious scholars shed light on the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as well as the life of Pir Abdur Rehman (RA).
Prominent among other speakers were Mufti Muhammad Suleman Rizvi, GA Haq Chishti, Allama Ghulam Ali Qamar, Maulana Ayaz Rizvi, Maulana Salim Habib and Khawaja Wajahat Jameel. Abid Karimi, Khalid Mahmood Khalid, Ahmed Raza Jamaati and other prominent Naat Khawans presented Naats.
In the end, Pir Muhammad Naqib-ur-Rehman prayed for the unity of the Muslims and progress, prosperity and solidarity of Pakistan.
