RAWALPINDI - In a gory incident, three real brothers were killed while the fourth one was critically injured by two of their cousins with automatic weapons over family dispute here at Biggel Village, Narr, on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Majeed, 60, Shahnawaz Ahmed, 45, and Ali Hussain, 40, while injured as Abdul Hameed, who sustained bullet injury on left side of shoulder and was shifted to District Headquarter Hospital for medical treatment. Waqil Hussain, 42, a retired employee from 501 Workshop and Jamil Hussain, 45, a local driver, sons of Muhammad Hussain are the murder accused.
However, police arrested one suspect Wakeel and recovered weapon used in the incident, informed Superintend of Police (SP) Waheed-ur-Rehman Khattak.
According to him, a brawl occurred between the females of the two families resolving for which the all cousin arranged a meeting at the home of Muhammad Hussain. He said that during the meeting, exchange of hot words occurred on which Wakeel and Jamil started firing on their cousins with 8mm riffle and 30 bore pistol killing Ali, Shahnawaz and Majeed on the spot while maiming Hameed.
Later, the killers managed to flee from the crime scene, SP said.During raid, police managed to nab one murder accused Wakeel Hussain. The dead bodies and the injured person were moved to DHQ.
On a query, the SP replied that police would register murder case on the statement of the injured Abdul Hameed, who was under treatment in hospital and not able to speak with police. “As soon as he will be able to give statement, case will be filed,” he said.
In another incident, five persons including two females received burnt injuries following a blast owing to gas leakage in a house near Car Chowk Gulraiz Colony, the area of PS Airport.
Rescue 1122 rescuers informed that a blast occurred following gas leakage and filling in the house that led to minor bunt injuries to the inmates. The injured were identified as Imran Bakhsh 30, Sumaira Imran 24, Usman 15, Umer Shafique 15, Minahal 5.
In another incident of LPG cylinder blast two persons were injured in a house at Tench Bhatta Colony.
Rescue officials said Salma 25 and Adil 10 received minor injuries after the cylinder blasted in the house where they worked as maids.
