85MMCFD gas allocated for whole textile industry

LAHORE - The SNGPL has allocated around 85mmcfd supply of gas is for the whole export-oriented Textile Industry, including spinning, weaving, dyeing, processing and finishing.
All Pakistan Textile Mills Association Punjab chairman SM Tanvir said that 80 per cent of spinning, weaving, dyeing, processing and finishing textile manufacturers belong to APTMA fold. And we are ready to help the ancillary industry in case it requires gas for their garmenting units as they are our valued customers of dyed/processed fabric, he added.
Chairman Punjab said that APTMA is a premier association representing all sub- sectors of the industry and all its members are corporate entities. The Association has taken a number of sustainability initiatives to facilitate the textile industry in order to become compliant and sustainable to meet international requirements. Other textile industry associations have also been taken on board.
Furtherit is a strong desire of industry leadership that the whole value chain should operate to full potential and meet world standards, as APTMA does not believe in hegemony and instead it acts for collective good.
S M Tanveer has said that spreading wrong perceptions about each other will not be in the larger interest of industry and time has come to join hands for mutual good of the textile industry of Pakistan.
