ISLAMABAD (Online) - Pakistan on Saturday filed its stance over controversial Kishanganga Dam in the World Banks arbitration court. Pakistan raised major objection on the project that New Delhi could not divert route of the River Neelum, for, by constructing Kishanganga Dam India would deprive Pakistan of 15 per cent of its water share which was a violation of Indus Water Treaty between the two countries. Pakistan has accused India of diverting the water of River Neelum thereby affecting Neelum valley as well as Neelum-Jehlum Hydro Project. It is expected that India would submit its reply over Pakistans objection in four months after which the court would give its verdict. Pakistan is of the opinion that the project is a violation of the Indus Water Treaty which regulates use of the five eastern rivers passing through the territories of the two neighbours.
