VIENNA - Switzerland's 2008 Olympic time-trial champion Fabian Cancellara will ride for the Trek team for the next three seasons, he announced. The 32-year-old - also a quadruple world time-trial champion - said he was excited by American outfit Trek's plans for the future once his present team RadioShack-Leopard withdraws from the sport at the end of the season. "It is time for me to say where I will be in the future and what my plans are," said Cancellara, who has opted to compete in the Tour of Austria instead of the Tour de France. "In 2014, I will be part of the Trek team," added Cancellara, who made the announcement through a video broadcast on youtube and then on Twitter. Cancellara, a three-time winner of the Paris-Roubaix classic, said the team was working on a lot of projects. –AFP
