GREED IS CURSE

LAHORE - Greed is a curse. It proved true when the police arrested a man, his paramour, and two other accomplices in connection with the cold-blooded murder of a young widow in the Harbanspura area.
All the four killers confessed to the police investigators that they had strangled 22-year-old Ghazala Bibi at her residence in the Ameer Town on May 28 to plunder gold ornaments and her property worth millions of rupees. One of the killers is said to be the brother-in-law of the deceased. The main accused, identified as Faisal, had developed illicit relations with his sister-in-law, Ghazala, after the death of her husband.
Police investigators revealed the young widow was the owner of two houses and she had been residing at her Ameer Town house alone since the death of her husband.
Faisal and his paramour Ayesha Bibi admitted before the investigators that they had planned the murder of the widow to grab her property worth millions of rupees. However, the man and his girlfriend executed the plan in connivance with two other accused identified as Omar and his worker. The ‘couple’ had also offered a reasonable amount to Omar and his worker for helping them executing the planned murder.
The killers told the investigators that they had also taken away mobile phones, property documents, and artificial jewelry after strangulating the widow to death. Interestingly, the widow had deposited her gold ornaments in the bank lock-up a few days before her murdered.
The 22-year-old widow was found murdered from her house in the Harbanspura police area on May 28. Initially police termed the killing as blind murder and said that unidentified men strangled the woman to death and escaped after locking the house from outside. Two days later, the local residents noticed the foul smell emitting from the house and alerted the police. The police collected mobile phone record of the deceased and begun investigation after registering murder case against unidentified killers. On Tuesday, the investigations police claimed to have resolved the blind murder mystery successfully by arresting all the four characters involved in the gruesome killing.
