Bandits have made off with seven cell phones, two motor bikes and cash of more than Rs1.8 million from seven different places of the district.
According to Ziaullah and Zainul Abidin, clothes merchants of Hafizabad, their maid servant Rubina and her two accomplices Uzma and Nosheen allegedly made off with cash Rs1.7 million after breaking open the safes at their house.
They have got finger prints of the accused. Meanwhile, unidentified thieves broke into the houses of Muhammad Iqbal, Muhammad Arshad, Aamir Rasheed and Asgher in Mubarik Colony Kassoke Road Hafizabad and fled away with seven mobiles and cash amount of thousands of rupees.
Shahid Advocate was deprived of his bike near Jinnah Chowk Bypass. Another Haji Zulifqar was deprived of his bike (HZK-4383) outside Masjid Syedana Umar-e-Farooq (RA). The victim had parked his bike outside the mosque and went inside to offer prayers. When he came outside, he found his bike missing. Due to rising incidents of dacoity and bike lifting during the past over two months, local citizens have been too much disappointed and harassed and they have called upon the DPO and RPO to take some effective measures to prevent the crime and provide security for the public.
