Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Prof Sirajul Haq demanded that the armed forces of Pakistan and the government should announce a time frame operation Zarb-e-Azb against the militants in North Waziristan Agency.

He said that the prolongation of the operation would not leave better results rather it should be short. He was talking to newsmen here after condoling the demise of former JI Sialkot district ameer Hafiz Muhammad Aslam Tahir with his family.

The JI ameer said that more than 700,000 people have been affected due to the operation. He urged the nation to donate generously for the help of the IDPs. He said that the nation would not leave the internally displaced persons alone in the hard time. He said that the IDPs were also loyal Pakistanis.

Sirajul Haq urged the government to declare Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as the worst affected province due to the operation. He also urged the government to provide Rs50,000 per home to IDPs. The JI chief also demanded early formation of a special task force of all the parliamentary parties to monitor the ongoing relief activities.
