Dim wit Sharjeel Memon

This is in reference to your reports about the 1,000 unfortunate deaths in Karachi because of excessive heat, primarily due dehydration, water contamination and lack of medical facilities. It is a sad reflection of the governance in the financial capital of Pakistan, which for over 7 years has been ruled either by PPP or MQM. The latter has been in power for over 12 years, and held ministries and posts of health, apart from total control over the Sind Water Board, KPT, Sind Building Control and City District Government. All that is being witnessed by the public are theatrics by these two major political stake holders, blaming everybody other than themselves.
The recent statement by Sharjeel Memon, that 1122 Emergency Service was available, is nothing but mockery, given the fact that hardly any of the expensive Mercedes ambulances are running. As long as there is no punishment for such criminals, such as public hangings for creating and promoting starvation, insecurity, ghost schools, ghost clinics and inhumane treatment of deprived masses will continue. Land allocated for public amenity parks and graveyards will continue to be illegally occupied by corrupt mafia. Had it not been for theEdhi Foundation, over 500 human remains of citizens of Karachi would not have been given a proper decent burial.
