Man looted; four cars, seven bikes lifted

Rawalpindi - There is no let-up in street crimes as unknown dacoits snatched Rs 8,000 from a disabled man at gunpoint here at Ali Town, sources informed yesterday.

Separately, four cars and seven motorcycles were lifted from different parts of the city while robbers and dacoits struck at four places looting cash, gold, purses and other valuables, they added. Police have badly failed in tracing the criminals.

Separately, armed dacoits snatched a motorcycle at gunpoint from a citizen whereas a gang of muggers also deprived a woman of her purse containing gold, cash and mobile phone.

According to sources, an old disabled man namely Meharban was heading towards his home at Ali Town before Iftar when two unknown dacoits riding on a motorcycle intercepted him and snatched Rs 8000 from him.

In his complaint, filed with PS Saddar Bairooni, the victim told police that he was donated Rs 8,000 by a philanthropist as Zakat.

 and he was going home when two dacoits targeted him and looted the money at gunpoint.

SHO PS Saddar Bairooni Malik Muhammad Yar did not attend his cell phone when this correspondent tried to contact him to get his point of view over surging street crimes in his areas.

On the other hand, unidentified auto-thieves lifted seven motorcycles and four cars from different localities of the city.
