Rising mugging incidents in Karachi at the start of the Eid shopping season have worried the citizens, who demand improving policing in the mega city. The city has witnessed an abrupt rise in incidents of mugging and robberies especially in market areas of the city.

Deputy Chief Pasban Pakistan and Chairman Pasban Karachi Rabita Committee Tariq Chandiwala in a statement said that the increasing crimes of mugging robbery are the part of a conspiracy to dub the Karachi Operation unsuccessful. He demanded that life and property of citizens should be protected at all costs. He appealed to the DIG Sindh Rangers, IGP Sindh, Additional IG Karachi, DIG East and SSP Bahadarabad police station to take strict notice of these increasing criminal activities. He further said Bahadurabad and surrounding areas have witnessed 20 robberies in last few days.
