South Punjab Police cross milestone of exemplary public service in one year’

BAHAWALPUR    -   An anniversary function was organised on the completion of one year of establishment of South Punjab Police office in Bahawalpur. South Punjab Additional Inspector General of Police Capt R Zafar Iqbal Awan along with officers and staff cut the cake on the occasion. AIG Operations Sadiq Baloch and AIG Investigation Hassan Afzal were also present. Prayers for national security were offered at the anniversary function and commitment to public service was reiterated. Additional Inspector General of Police Capt Zafar Iqbal Awan,while talking, said that South Punjab Police had crossed the milestone of exemplary public service in one year. In this regard, the mission of providing police services to the people of South Punjab at their doorstep will continue at the same pace. Zafar Iqbal Awan further said that according to the expectations of the people, the plant of South Punjab Police Office will be made into a vigorous tree so that the people of this region can fully benefit from its shade.  

 The Additional IG congratulated the people of South Punjab and the police personnel on their birthday and said that every policeman in the region has an equal role to play in the success of the South Punjab Police Office.  “We also thank the people of the region who have expressed their confidence in this new police system,” he added. 

In today’s ceremony, “we also pay tribute to our martyrs and pray for the elevation of their ranks.”  By sacrificing their lives, they laid the foundation of a peaceful society for our generations. The South Punjab Police, looking at their sacrifices with devotion, pledges to intensify the struggle to make the region a beacon of peace and bring justice to the people. All possible steps will be taken to provide relief to the victims. Participants in the anniversary function also offered special prayers for national security and elevation of the ranks of martyrs.
