QUETTA - Personnel of an intelligence Agency Wednesday seized a considerable quantity of arms and ammunition after arresting a gun runner in Zhob district, some 350 km east of Quetta. According to sources, personnel of the intelligence agency on secret information obtained through their local informers raided a house in bordering area of Sambaza of Zhob. After massive search, the security agency men recovered 35 machine guns along with 35 magazines, 50 hand grenades, 1 rocket launcher, 6 pistols and 1500 rounds of different calibre. A gun runner was also arrested who was guarding arms and ammunition cache, however his name was being kept secret for security reasons. The arrested person was shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation and investigation purposes. Sources said that accused concealed arms in the house and wanted to smuggle them to other parts of Balochistan for subversive activities.
