LAHORE (PPI) - Prime Ministers housing policy is to help develop a modern community living with all the comforts and facilities of the 21st century at affordable cost for the middle & low income groups of Pakistan. This statement was given by the Federal Minister for Housing & Works and Chairman Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) Mr. Rehmatullah Kakar during his visit to House Building Finance Corporation Limited (HBFCL). On this occasion, Chairman and CEO, House building Finance Corporation Ltd. (HBFCL) Azhar Abbas Jaffri said that in line with Prime Ministers housing policy to cater the needs of the low and middle income groups of the country, HBFCL 'in-principle has agreed with leading developers, NGOs and builders for developing low-cost housing projects across the country. Mr. Jaffri further stated that HBFCL has recently drafted Credit Policy in consultation with the Association of Builders & Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) to provide prudent lending to individuals and to facilitate development of housing projects in Pakistan to overcome the severe housing shortage. He said that HBFCs management took some bold initiatives to revive the institution including robust recovery drive; preparation of long term restructuring plan; strict compliance of SBP regulations; introducing and implementing best management practices for the institutions revival.
