ISLAMABAD The National Badminton Championship will be held from June 27 to July 3 here at Laiquat Gymnasium, Pakistan Sports Complex. The decision was taken in a PBF meeting held at Rodham Hall in the chair of its president Nazar Mohammad Gondol. The top national badminton event will start from June 27 and all affiliated unites with PBF will take part in the seven-day competition for top honour. The slogan for the event will be Sports for Peace and it will be dedicated to Mohtarama Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, said federal minister in the meeting. President PBF also congratulated Rizwan Azam and Kashif Sulehri for winning International Challenge Cup, held at Maldives in which 15 countries had competed for title. We want to promote healthy and positive activities in the country. Youth is our asset and we want to provide activities like sports to them. The present government will do all to promote peace through sports, added the minister.
