LAHORE - The Punjab Emergency Service (PES) (Rescue-1122) will launch its service in another 24 districts of the province. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, PES Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer said that now the people of 35 districts of Punjab would get benefit of emergency service of international standard just dialling 1122 any time. He said that Rescue 1122 would maintain its professional skill and proper response time in all districts. He asked rescuers and Rescue 1122 to provide its professional emergency service of the people of Bahawalnagar, Muzafargarh, Rajanpur, Mianwali, Pakpattan, Kasur, Gujrat, Jehlum, Attock, Khanewal, Khushab, Lodharan, Nankana Sahib, Narowal, Okara, Toba Tek Sing and Vehari. He said that the first modern Emergency Ambulance, Rescue and Fire Service of Pakistan Rescue 1122 has completed 565,000 rescue operations within seven minute response time. The PES has now become a model for SAARC countries, he added. The DG PES said that rescuers would maintain the standard of the service.
