LAHORE - A 60-year-old man succumbed to injuries when one wheeler youth hit him hear Dolam Stop in Nishtar Colony Police precincts on Wednesday. The deceased was later identified as Mohammad Ashraf, a resident of a locality in front of General Hospital. Police investigators said the man was crossing the road when an unidentified youth riding on a motorbike hit him at about 12:15 pm as a result he sustained severe injuries. The locals of the area, however, rushed the injured to the General Hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead. PS Nishtar Colony Station House Officer (SHO) Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Mohammad Arif said the victim man had two sons namely Shahbaz and Abbas. Police have registered an FIR against unknown accused with no arrest till filing of this report. Minor crushed A 4-year-old minor girl was crushed to death at Service Road in Manawan police area about 7:45 am on Wednesday. Police maintained the minor Fiza, daughter of a labourer Ghulam Abbas, a resident of Ring Road Warra Gujjran, was playing outside her home. She while playing came in the middle of the road when a speedy truck (TTB-978) hit her and crushed her on the spot, on duty police officer Ali Asghar said. He further said police have arrested the driver Liaqat Ali, 28, a resident of Mianwali, besides taking control of his truck. A case was registered against the accused driver on the statement of Ghulam Mustafa, paternal uncle of Fiza. Further investigations are underway.
